Daily Organization Sheet - Free Download
I like to try to stay organized and constantly have multiple to-do lists hanging around. After scoping out online templates and ideas I created one and its available as a PDF. Its kind of like an all in one even with a glass of water count!

From "The Hills" to style expert. Lauren Conrad launches bridesmaid dress line
LC has taking the wedding scene by storm with her new line of bridesmaid dresses launched under her co-owned label Paper Crown. She is also featured on the latest Martha Stewart Weddings as seen below.

The concept was brought to life when LC and label partner Maura decided that they could not find bridal attire that suited their tastes so why not design their own line?
Here are two of my favorite dresses from the new line:
Cassandra Dress $275.00
Maura Dress $325.00

Why you should make a wedding website?
Websites are a great way to get lots of key information across without spending tons of money. Traditionally you would send out engagement party, shower, Jack/Jill, Bachelorette, Save the Dates and all components of the wedding invitation (maps, key info, hotel booking, reception card, response card) through the mail.
That is a lot of paper and a lot of postage!!
Nowadays you can just RSVP online through the couples website, find the hotel (even have widgets that can reserve rooms for you on the site), know the attire for the day, see pictures and stories about the couple and leave a cute note in the guest book.
RSVPing through a website is also quicker than hunting down a somewhat forgetful guest who still hasn't mailed their response in. You can do so much with websites which is phenomenal!
I personally liked using The Knot but there are many platforms out there to use that are totally free. Take a look below and check it out. Highly recommend getting one.

What do you do with your wedding dress, after its all over?
Since my wedding in June I have been going over and over in my head as to what is next for my dress?
So here are my options:
So here are my options:
- Get it professionally cleaned. Box that up.
- AKA Let it sit for years and years in my closet, unless I guess I decide to wear it as a Halloween costume or want to get hitched again? (haha just kidding Kyle) Or wait to see if my kids would want to wear it if and when they decide to tie the knot? Highly unlikely.
- Make art?
- Use a piece from it and adorn a canvas? Or display some portion of it in a shadow box. Place the entire dress in a shadow box? Make jewelry out of a part of the dress (although this option seems like you are destroying the dress too)
- Trash the dress.
- I've seen really creative ways that ladies have chosen to destroy their dresses; like jumping off docks, paint-balling, four wheeling, you name it and it can be done! But for the amount of money, sheer waste and in the name of the environment I don't think this route is for me.
- Create new items for other special occasions.
- There are places that will turn your dress into a christening gown or you can have your dress turned into lingerie. There are also trends to make fancy garters for your possible future children to wear keeping the whole "something old". The ideas are endless!
- Donate.
- There is a great organization called The Brides Project located here in Toronto, ON. They accept donated wedding dresses from all over and in turn sell the dresses at approximately half the retail price. All of the profits are then given to cancer charities such as the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, The Terry Fox Foundation, The Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre etc. By the end of 2014 they are projecting to raise over half a million dollars to charities.

Pretty Petals & Trinkets - My wedding Bouquets
Before I went into my wedding creating hiatus - and didn't post for quite sometime. I believe I posted a sneak peak of some fabric flower making! Here are more photos of the process that went behind making the bouquets. I used various fabric, brooches, findings/pendants and even mixed in a few purchased flowers that I found at Ardene's, who would have thought!

Why do it yourself?
I can understand how there are the lovers and the non-lovers of the do-it-yourself concept. This goes with the whole, some people are crafty while others will end up gluing their fingers together! I know it sounds defeating for all those who now have 4 fingers instead of 5 but never fear!! This is why there are GREAT tutorials to help those of us craft-challenged and yes with pictures/diagrams along the way. You too can create awesome craft magic with a little attention to detail and step by step instruction.
My goal with this blog is to not only help others to create amazing décor/accessories but show you that one does not have to be Martha Stewart to make something beautiful! DIY can be fun, challenging at times but in the end, you've put your own personal stamp on something and saved money doing it!
